Learning Event Production and Facilitation, GMAP2, Itad, UK

2021

The Global Mine Action Programme 2 (GMAP2) continues FCDO’s work of reducing the humanitarian and development impact of landmines and explosive remnants of war. Itad is supporting the three-year delivery of GMAP2 through project monitoring, a formative and summative evaluation and a research project. This builds on the previous contract Itad had for GMAP1.

Emmeline supported the Itad team to hold a four-day collaborative learning event to help stakeholders understand the links between mine action and stabilisation, what this might look like in different conflict contexts, and how the evidence base could be strengthened. This included the development and delivery of content on Platform4Dialogue, a text-based knowledge exchange platform for asynchronous engagement, combined with live sessions on Zoom with speakers from Iraq, Sudan and Colombia. She also supported speaker and stakeholder communications and training, and input into an event review after closing.
