Brooke is an international animal welfare charity dedicated to improving the lives of working equids. They operate in Africa, Asia, Latin America, and the Middle East and reach almost two million working horses, donkeys, and mules. Brooke’s annual Research Review, first published in 2019, gives key insights into the charity's research processes, achievements and learnings for the year.

Emmeline copyedited Brooke’s Research Review for 2021, with a focus on highlighting the charity’s robust research methods and research impact. She ensured the content was consistent, concise and aligned multiple author contributions into one tone of voice.
